Dr. Jeremy Rabone

Jeremy Rabone's areas of expertise include modelling and simulation particularly in chemistry, cheminformatics and materials science. He has worked for and with Unilever over a period of 7 years on various projects, including chemical reaction simulations and textual analysis. Through his work in cheminformatics (EvoTec OAI AG, Hamburg) and chemical simulations, he has developed an expertise in productivity enhancing tools and the automation of interactions between existing software tools. He also maintains an interest in all areas of scentific simulation and modelling, including the geological sciences and 3D visualisation.

Jeremy has been developing software for chemical applications for 12 years, including chemical reaction simulation systems, tools to support Molecular Dynamics simulations and scientific visualisation tools. He is fluent in C, C++ and Java with a particular emphasis on the devlopment of novel tools and efficient algorithms for scientific applications.

Jeremy holds a Ph.D. from the University of London (Molecular Dynamics Simulation of Fission Track Annealing in Apatite, supervised by N. H. de Leeuw) and a Master of Chemistry from the University of Oxford (X-ray Diffraction of Clay Minerals Intercalated with Siloxane Surfactants, supervised by R. K. Thomas).
