About MolviewGL
MolviewGL is Four Delta's OpenGL PDB Viewer for molecular visualisation. This program loads and visualises molecules in the Brookhaven PDB (Protein Data Bank) format, and runs on current versions of Microsoft Windows®. The objective of the program is to provide high-quality interactive visualisations of molecular structures and to produce high quality images for presentation. Click on the image to the right to start a video demonstrating the various features of MolviewGL.
MolviewGL will run well on most modern 3D graphics card with an OpenGL 2.0 API, from NVidia GeForce 4/MX onwards. No pixel or vertex shader support is needed. If you do not have an accelerated graphics card, MolviewGL will use the much slower software OpenGL renderer but still be fully functional.
The video gives a brief overview of the main features of MolviewGL, including animation, free mouse control, the most commonly used display modes, and the colouring modes.
Download Demo Version
Please use the link below to download the demonstration version. This version is fully functional but cannot open arbitrary PDB files. Instead a selection of molecular structures are built-in to the program and can be chosen instead. A windows help file is also provided. Other than providing for uninstallation MolviewGL does not modify the registry or install any additional libraries into the system, and Administrator rights are not required to install it.
