Jon Rabone has worked in cutting edge R & D environments including the BBC, Cambridge Consultants and Panasonic. With Four Delta he has worked with clients including Unilever Research and Cadence Design Systems. He has been an active member of the HAVi consortium, chairing the technical working group responsible for the HAVi Level 2 Java UI specification. He was responsible for the architecture and development of a cross-platform MPEG-2 DSMCC layer for digital set top boxes.
Jon has 7 years experience of developing software systems for Windows, UNIX and embedded platforms. He is fluent with C, C++ and Java, spanning the range of development expertise from kernel development, through network & GUI applications to server-side Java using lightweight frameworks such as Spring. He has extensive XML experience including the latest developments in XML Schema and DOM levels 2 & 3.
Jon holds an M.Eng. degree from the University of Cambridge.
